Mindfulness at Birch Street
A new experience is soon being added to the Birch Street Experience. It is called Mindfulness and it involves taking an honest look at ourselves and how we function on a day to day basis. The instruction will be presented over a four week period with a qualified teacher from the cooperative extension. We are all really looking forward to it.
Mr. Mike and ASL
Mr. Mike McDonald has agreed to teach us american sign language in a course designed to help us get “out of the box” a little and experience the world of the deaf. To date we are practicing the alphabet and learning some basic signs of communication. We are in hopes that this will eventually be a skill we can add to our resumes. Thanks Mike for your time and patience!
