The bangor daily news recently ran an article on a John Bapst student who was charged with stalking another student through his internet connection. Have you ever had this experience or know someone who has ( no names please )? What is your take on this case?
Yes I have, My ex boyfriend, who was a coke dealer without me knowing. I broke up with him after he almost killed me in a car accident. After that, he started stalking me and showing up at my house and questioning my little brother. I had my dad yell at him and he left me alone :D

ReplyDeleteYes, There is a girl who is a student of my mothers and this guy kept showing up at her school, and waited for her int he parking lot at her job and called the school multiple times a day to find out her number and where she lived, its a scary thing to have to go through it, and i hope I never have too.
ReplyDeleteI had an experience when I was 14. A guy I met on myspace, and we talked for a while. He made me believe that we were best friends. He asked me to meet him at his house, and I almost went. But my counselor and parents sat me down and made me read what I was saying, and what was really going on. I almost made the biggest mistake of my life. Now, I am very, VERY careful what I put online and who can see it and who I talk to.
ReplyDeleteI recently read this article on the Bangor Daily News website. It’s quit a shame on how a young high school student was charged with stalking another student through the internet also known as Cyberstalking. This student should know now it’s very wrong to stalk others. He will defiantly be getting the consequences he deserves and just hope he learns from it. I have never experienced anything like this before through the internet, but I know of some others that have experienced something very similar to this case that was in the Bangor Daily. My take on this case is stalking it’s wrong period and the community really should pack down on this; I may not know all the laws because there are far from to many but I know there is a law about Cyberstalking out there, if it’s going to be a law try enforcing it better for others own good and safety. Cyberstalking is a form of harassment; that is unwanted, and that people do it intentionally; a number of times. This young student is in the paper for a good cause, others in the community should be well aware of this case. The community needs to know that there are people out there that are stalking others whom could be your family or friend, it’s not just this particular student; there are many others out there, and it needs to be known. Unfortunately they can be anyone to babysitters, teachers, students, cereal killers, and ect, but whomever it may be stalking your friends or family need to know it’s wrong and face the consequences, no one wants to feel like they are stalked, we all need our privacy and honestly today it’s hard to find privacy but there is privacy out there and ways to help least likely stalking, I feel.
