With the end of the war in Iraq, american servicemen will be returning and entering the work force. With the economy struggling do you think we face more problems? Please share your thoughts.

  1. I don't really understand what the "work force" is but, i think it means giving them jobs and I think that it will help our economy. Not only because we are spending less money on weapons and other army things, but because it will give more people jobs.

  2. Yes and no. There will surely be a boost in the economy through the funding gained that is no loger being used to fight the war. However, with the conflicts in afghanistan, and the more troops returning to civilian life, there will be a race for jobs, and accordingly it will be harder before it gets easier, to find work.

  4. With the end of the war in Iraq, all the american servicemen will be returning and entering the work force. With the economy struggling, I think we will face more problems. The economy is struggling to the extreme; it seems to get worse and worse ever year. There are millions of citizens jobless and are struggling to find jobs to support themselves and their families, yet there aren’t enough businesses open to fill the populations needs. We trade with other countries and put ourselves in more debt. All the american servicemen have supported our country over years upon years. Military service is difficult, challenging and very dangerous. All the servicemen, men and woman, whom are returning from the War and entering back to the work force, must have some challenges to over come.
After servicemen serve their time in the Military and enter back to the work force, would be a struggle. I think. Our economy is struggling and were it’s already hard to find jobs for our population and there would be a few 10,000s servicemen coming home the remaining 46,000s at other countries. Most of the servicemen didn’t go to college before serving the country, but however graduated from high school. So the only other opinion I think would be go to college, because there is always a job out there, I feel. But everyone has the same degree and they need more people with the higher degree’s to enter the work force, in the businesses that need help; mostly high ranking paid jobs. Yet, in order to get the higher degrees you have to go to have a high school diploma, than go to college. In order to get into college there is a fee, and it’s not cheap; yet the recruiters whom are in the military get there’s college paid for; it’s just the matter of the individual next if they want to try to get a job without going back to college or if they want to go back to college, for a high degree than a high school diploma; and get a high paying job.
My opinion is after serving the country and being in the war, that individual is defiantly going to have some traumatic experiences, and before entering the work field or going back to college to get a higher degree that individual will need to have a clear state of mind to be able to focus on the courses in college or even to focus their job. Even if it takes therapy or some kind of counseling then still they might not be able to work or go back to school if they aren’t able to cope with their experiences.
