Autism - A 21st century label
In film critique we are viewing Rainman, a story concerning an autistic man with "savant". This disorder has recently drawn much attention. It has been reported that 1 in 160 children are diagnosed with autism. This is a significant increase from years past. What do you believe to be the reason for the increase in at the amount of people diagnosed with this disorder?

I believe the reason is the vaccines children are given when they are so young. There are many studies that show children that were happy and talkative, turn into very quiet and shy kids after they are given their shots.
ReplyDeleteI agree with gnome, that all the precautions we are taking to prevent things, will someday turn against us, maybe sooner then later.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to believe the reason to be for the increase of people diagnosed with this disorder, because i didn't even know there was a increase in the disorder. I have a 17 year old cousin diagnosed with Autism and he acts like any other normal human being.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the only reason more people are diagnosed with autism because doctors are diagnosing only one symptom.
ReplyDeleteThe Autism disorder has recently drawn more attention because this disorder increased from years past. I believe the reason for the increase in the amount of people diagnosed with this disorder is because it’s normally in the first three years of life, when the doctors diagnose this disorder; that affects the brain chemistry to normal development in social and communication skills. If young children are diagnosed this in there first three years, how would the doctor know without doing a lot of testing and research with the patients. Normally between your first three years of life your brain hasn’t fully developed completely, it’s still going through the stages to develop, the child is still young and learning how to use their social skills and communication skills.
ReplyDeleteAnother way I believe doctors know or may know a patient has the Autism disorder, is if this disorder was in the patients family history, the genetics of another, from each side of the family; biological mother and biological father.
Many parents think some of the vaccines for new borns are not safe for them and could harm their babies, where there so little and not fully developed and could cause disorders; yet it hasn’t been proving. There are so many causes and symptoms for this disorder.
The earlier you find out what the disorder is the earlier you can treat the disorder. There are so many different kind of treatments for different disorders. Most if not all treatments are so expensive, because they need specialist from a program. And going through a treatment plan through a program isn’t normally cheap, you have to pay for the sitting to see a specialist, medication is used in most treatment too. Some of these programs are so expensive for treatment plans for disorders, that families can’t pay so the disorder getting worse, then you get more symptoms and it never gets treated so it continues to increase.
