8) Rate the movie A - F
9) Choose a scene from the film that you believe brought the directors point into focus
10) What actors, in your opinion, played their parts the best?
1) Because he was afraid to open up to anybody and afraid of change and didnt want to fail.
ReplyDelete2) He had one with his friends, One with his girlfriend, one at work and also one when he was alone or with the teachers.
3) Because he understands where he is coming from, and he doesn't just want to use him for his knowledge, he actually gets him and wants him to be happy.
4) I don't think i would change anything, I would of liked to see what happened with the girl, but other then that it was a very good ending.

6) Because it was about him, and the person he playd was rough around the edges but was honestly a good boy and smart. and they wanted to how that through the title as well as in the movie.
7) Yes, some people are so smart and do well in the things they try, and people dont like that cause they instantly think there just goody goodys and they are mean tot hem just cause they are smart, It happens in schools all the time, the smart ones are always picked on because of being so smart.
8) A!
9) The fight between will and his girlfriend really showed that he was afraid to let anyone in and afraid of change and that what happened to him as a child really did affect him as an adult.
10) Robin Williams, and also good will hunting played there part really well and right to the point, they all did awesome but those two really captured the movie.

ReplyDelete1. I personally think Will is just trying to be normal, and fit in.
ReplyDelete2. Outcasted, and antisocial. He avoids emotions and likes to argue.
3. because he relates to will, and stands up to him. He openly called will out on his behavior, and showed him the reality of his situation.
4. I honestly liked the ending, I dont know If there was much more I could ask for aside from closure to will and the girl, or with Shawn and his campaign to win the lottery...
5. I think they will have a normal life, and will benifit from the wisdom of having Will as a friend. Although Im not sure if they will see him again or not.
6. A play on words "Good will hunting" as to say, "Hunting for a "Good", Will"
7. Yes. I feel that a person's intelligence could cause them to see the world in a different way, and may be detrimental to the way they relate to others. That being said, Conversations, Discussions and even plain arguments could be more harmful to relationships, as they will escalate faster, and both people will relate much less, or as least differently.
8 Definite A+. very well done, and I liked the cleverness from scene to scene.
9 The discussion between will and shawn hit home, and really shined a lot of light as to why will was the way he was.
10 Robin williams, and matt damon. Very nice display of emotion, and diversity.
1) I think he's just trying to seem normal and not such an outcast because he isn't the typical genius.
ReplyDelete2) Will is both the street guy and the modern marvel and he plays both very well.
3) I think because for once he was told exactly what he thinks and someone was honest with him, and not just astounded by his mind, but instead, just told things that he didn't know about himself until then.
4) I think the ending was fine. Although, I would have liked to see his meeting up with the girl.
5) I think they do just fine.
6) Because he's good. And his name is Will Hunting?
7) I think that anyone who thinks in a different way is considered a outsider. Most people are average, that's why its called average, and when someone is more intelligent or less, people either don't understand it or they don't accept it.
8) I give it a B-.
9) I think the moment when he broke down and was crying on Shawn's shoulder and confessing things in his past that haunt him, really was an important scene, because it showed that even someone as smart as him can be hurt just as bad.
10) Matt Damon did an excellent job, and his accent was the most life a real Boston accent, while everyone else just killed it..
1) The reasoning for Will being so protective of his obvious intelligence was he just wanted to fit in with everyone else, though he was afraid to open up to anyone because he was afraid to fail. No one wants to feel like they will fail.
ReplyDelete2) There are several social roles Will plays, they are a street guy and an intelligence person.
3) Shawn is able to reach to Will when no other professions can was by caring and putting himself into Wills shoes to see where he is coming from and relate to certain situations that happened to himself to help Will out.
4) I wouldn't change the ending, even if I was offered a rewrite.
5) Wills friend will probably live a normal life and be happy.
6) In my opinion the movie was titled as is because Will was Good in his own way. Also it makes sense because Will is the main character.
7) I feel someone's intelligence could get in the way of being socially accepted because there are alot of rude people in the community and world wide. People like to see others no to good in life or just in general, that way they feel better of themselves.
8) Movie rate is a B.
9) The scene from the film that I believed brought the directors point into focus was when Will was emotional, he had a kind heart. Also when he got into certain situations and took it like an adult.
10) Matt Damon, he played an awesome part, same as Will with their emotions.
